GO>ID Emergency ID Kit Review

go idWhen I was a kid, my parents bought myself and my siblings ID bracelets. We lived in a fairly dangerous part of Downtown LA, so I suppose it made sense for us to carry some time of identification with us at all times. To me, I just saw it as a piece of jewelry I got to wear all the time, we even got to pick a cool design on the front of the bracelet. I eventually outgrew the ID bracelet, and learned my own address and phone number too, of course.

I haven’t needed to carry that type of identification around with me like that until I started running a few years ago. When I first started running, I would only carry a stopwatch and music, if I was in the mood. But I almost never carried any type of identification on me. If I was running around the neighborhood, it probably wasn’t as big a deal. But I’ve gone on trail runs alone and have had some dangerous slips on those hills. It was just never convenient to carry identification on me, and I usually just assumed nothing bad would happen.

The GO>ID Emergency ID Kit is a unique identification system that allows you to have the peace of mind of carrying identification, but with the convenience of not having to carry extra accessories with you on a run. The kit comes in a number of different sizes as small as a dime to as large as a half dollar! You can even choose from a number of different colors too. The kit that you get allows you to enter your personal information and print that out in a label that is provided to you in the kit. You then attach that information onto the device, which you can then attach in a number of places, including: the back of your watch, looped into your shoelace, attached to a backpack zipper, etc. Because the ID is so small, you don’t have to worry about carrying it with you every time you go out. It’ll just be attached to whatever accessory you were going to take with you in the first place.

Some services actually charge an annual fee to keep your information on their website, which you can update if you ever move or change numbers. The benefits of the GO>ID is that there are no fees like that since you’re printing your info on a label and can just print another label if the information ever needs to be updated.
