The Feed Sports Nutrition Food Box Review

2014-05-28 17.24.33Subscription boxes are a fairly new concept to me. I always thought they were either too expensive or that you most likely will not like all of the items you get in the box. I recently purchased a similar subscription box from fancy.com because I got a coupon code for free shipping and they had a $10 box (although that was sold out and I ended up getting the $20 one). These were for household items with boxes tailored for men and women and I was pleasantly surprised with what I got and felt I received more than I paid for. So I was happy on both fronts.

The Feed is a similar service, but is geared for endurance athletes, which I will say I fall under. It’s basically getting all of the good items that you wait in line to sample at race expos, but conveniently delivered to your front door. I was very impressed with the types of products that were included in the box, and I really liked the hand written note personalized to me (not sure if that is for all customers, hopefully so). I’ve only tried a few of the products, but have liked them so far. The other neat thing about The Feed is that you actually get to select the products you want in your box. There is a Pro box option that is kind of a mix of different products, but you can then customize your future orders based on what you liked from the Pro box and what you think you’d like more of based on your fitness level and training program.

I haven’t backed out the numbers to see if it would be cheaper to buy the products individually, but I’m assuming it’s pretty close in value. Of course you do get the convenience of having them shipped to your door (consistently) so you’ll always be in stock of fuel for your training.
