Pearl Izumi Flash Short Sleeve & Shorts Review

I always thought that Pearl Izumi only made cycling clothes and accessories. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that they also offered running apparel (as well as triathlon gear). For a company that had invest so much time and energy in cycling gear, I knew it wouldn’t be too difficult for them to make that transition to running gear as well. I was able to test out the Flash short sleeve and Flash short running apparel from Pearl Izumi.

The Pearl Izumi Flash short sleeve top was designed with lightweight materials in combination with open mesh panels for optimal temperature regulation. Its casual aesthetic makes this top versatile enough for any activity.

What I really like about about this shirt is the color, material and unique design in the back neck. The color is a fun shade of blue (which I could use to wear for my weekly soccer games), the material is super soft (reminds me of another light running shirt that I own) and the design on the back is so different from anything I’ve ever seen before.

These shorts will be very useful in either my upcoming long runs or possibly next race. They are very lightweight and feel very comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. The back pocket is another plus to store my ID or keys if needed. The mesh on both sides will be very useful in wicking sweat during hot days.
