Oakley Minute Sunglasses Review

I was never really into wearing sunglasses back in high school; it was an accessory I never thought was useful or beneficial from a style standpoint. There is one specific memory that I recall quite vividly when during a particular track meet. It was a very big event with dozens of other schools competing in multiple events throughout the day. In one of the running events, there was a runner from another school that was in at least 3rd or 4th place with one lap to go. My teammate and I were watching as this guy calmly and gracefully took off the sunglasses he was wearing and either held onto them or tossed them aside inside the track and literally bolted! He was going so fast, he caught up to the other runners and eventually won the race. We were just in awe and how cool that guy was and still talk about that event when reminiscing about running back in high school.

If there’s one brand of sunglasses people are aware of, it’s definitely Oakley. “Founded in 1975, Oakley was created for world-class athletes who see the limits of possibility as just another challenge. Combining technical brilliance, with sheer designer style, function and fit, the Oakley brand has been built upon the innovative and futuristic ideas of one Jim Jannard, self-proclaimed mad-scientist and inventor.” For a company that’s been around for over 35 years, you know they have the experience to develop quality sunglasses. This brings me to the following review on the Oakley Minute sunglasses.

Product Details

The Oakley Minute sunglasses is uniquely designed to contour to the shape of your face. This is very useful for people with smaller faces, obviously. But it’s also great for active people who would find glasses falling off their faces every other minute. One thing that I always look out for in sunglasses is the frame size. I’ve seen sunglasses so big that they literally cover up your entire face! The good thing about the Minute sunglasses is that the frame is very small, so it’s doing what it’s supposed to do: protecting your eyes. And speaking of eyes, the lens offer great protection and filter out those harmful UV rays.  Another unique feature I found useful is the at the end of each arm of the sunglasses is textured which allow for more grip on your ears when you’re wearing them. Again, another great feature that is useful for runners.
