@Anne That sounds like a fun course, please let me know if you do plan to host it again this year! It was a clear day when I ran it and when I was driving home after the run, I was actually able see runners on that dam. I heard about it being closed off and it's terrible what happened to that woman. Glad everything is back the way they used to be!

@lindsay It is a nice place to run. I'm actually hoping to go again this weekend. It is only 3 miles to the lake, so I can definitely either use that as a warm up or when I think I am ready, it could be my long run for the day. Hopefully I can still get by with my current watch. Lol, we used to use those stopwatches in high school during intervals. Those are old school..

You'll have to come back when I host our summer Lake Rim Run there. You go up and around and come down right where the fence starts Oh, and you were crossing over the dam, not a bridge. On a clear day, the views are fantastic, aren't they?! For five years it was closed off due to 9/11. It became a very dangerous place because attendence dropped off dramatically and a woman was raped in the remote part. Now, it's bounced back to life with the reopening of the entire loop. Whoo-hoo.

looks like a great place to run. maybe you could run from your house to there so you can still just jump out your front door? also, you could get a cheap sport watch that has a split/lap button to keep track of your splits. my first 'watch' was this big, track-coach stopwatch that is usually worn around your neck but i just wrapped the cord around my wrist multiple times. great run!
