Wicked fast, nice job.

The 5k is one race that is short enough that your best times actually come by starting out too fast, faster for the first mile than the next two. Maybe not that much too fast though. There is an article somewhere out here on the internet about it.

tsk tsk!! :-p

racing and pacing are tough... it's hard to not get caught up with competition and take off from the start. the last 5k i ran i let some women get out in front of me and just "stayed calm" and told myself i'd pick them off. less than a 1/2 mile later... i passed them back :) granted, it was a small race (um i won for females with a 21:xx something, not stellar) but still - i ran my race and didn't let others gas me out from the start. i guess that's the lesson i'm trying to instill here? haha.

sub-19 and a pr... i don't think you really have room to complain! the pacing expertise will come.
